Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees ensure that all property of the congregation is held in the name of the church. They act as legal agents at the direction of the General Board.

The Board of Trustees are responsible for:

  • holding regularly scheduled meetings under the leadership of a chairperson.
  • assuring that all property, real and personal is properly insured, in keeping with sound business practices.
  • assuring that all positions of significant financial responsibility are properly insured or bonded, in keeping with sound business practices.
  • authorizing emergency expenditures for repair of the church building, its appurtenances, and equipment, when undue delay might result in additional expense. (Such acts will be fully reported to the General Board at its next meeting)
  • handling all business transactions related to church property.
