What to Expect on Your First Visit

Where to park

You can access the parking lot from Blue Ridge Blvd. (6100 block) or from Raytown Rd. (north of the library). You may park anywhere in the lot, but don't miss the designated Guest parking near the main entrance.

Where to go

The main entrance is on the north side of the building and has a ramp. A greeter just inside the door will welcome you, offer a visitor packet, and answer any questions you have.

"Being greeted at the door was great." -- Testimonial from a recent visitor

What to wear

Jeans and shirt, or coat and tie, you'll find others dressed as you are at our church. We're just glad you came.

What do I do with my kids?

Children are an important part of our community and always welcome in the worship services. Look for the packets of crayons and coloring sheets related to that day's sermon! Additionally, we have a nursery and Christian education opportunities.

Our Children's Worship (for children aged 3 years-2nd grade) takes place at the 9:30 time with children beginning in worship and then moving to the chapel before returning to worship for closing songs. This is a time specifically dedicated towards exploring and practicing worship skills and experiences.

At the beginning of the 11:00 service the children aged 3 years-5th grade are invited forward for a Children's Moment (children are invited to sit with a Sunday School teacher on the front pew until this time) during the worship service. Following the Children's Moment, all children are invited to attend their Sunday School class. Currently we have three classes for this age group (aged 3 years-Pre-K, K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade). The older classes experience a rotation-model of Sunday School with emphasis on the variety of ways children learn. The preschool class focuses on the basic Bible stories which form a solid foundation of the faith through art, story telling and song.  Parents are invited to
pick up their child(ren) at the conclusion of worship in the education wing.
